I’m a firm believer that travel is an incredible thing. I’ve seen some stunning landscapes, met some amazing people, and I’ve had a lot of fun on the way. Every now and again I learn a little something too. Check out travel tales and more throughout the site.

About Me
I’m Laurence, and ever since I found myself with a little bit of money in my pocket I’ve loved to travel. That thrill of being in a new place place, meeting new people, discovering a new culture. I’ve often traveled solo too, because this only heightens the adventure.
Across 2014/15 I took an 8 month sabbatical from my financial career to see some more of the world. Within 365 days I stepped on every continent (Antartica included!), and had some of the best times of my life. In buses, planes, and trains, I found myself writing, and you can find some of that here.
I’ve travelled a lot since, and scribbled in notebooks, but overtaken by life’s distractions I’ve not made much public. I’ll try to get back into the habit of sharing a few things from over the years.
I write about moments from my travels – those places or people that give me a snapshot of part of our world – in Travel Tales, and about getting lost for longer within some lesser visited places in Feature Writing. I’ve also added some of my thoughts on how to squeeze some more out of life while abroad and at home in the Life Toolkit section.
